F-Stop Brigade Photographer Peter-Paul de Meijer recently headed from his home in the Netherlands to the Austrian Alps for ski and photography trip. Over the next week Peter-Paul will show us some of his images and conversation from his journey. Peter-Paul is a medical student who enjoys photography to balance his heavy school schedule. Today we start with day one of A Week In The Life of Peter-Paul de Meijer.
Day One
Morning all. Current location is Bad Bentheim, Germany. The train is running late, and unless it goes in hyperdrive I’ll be missing my connection in Hannover, which should bring me to Munich and eventually get me into Salzburg, Austria. The positive side of this all is that it does compensate for all the backspacing whilst making a start to this little story.
The main objective for our trip through the Austrian Alps, which in total will take up 2 to 3 weeks, is to supply the Dutch and Belgian snowboarding and skiing magazines with material for next years publications. Depending of the snow conditions we will be shooting at different resorts in and around the Salzburg area.
Tomorrow we’ll be checking the snow conditions in Zauchensee. Until then, I’m bound to sit out this train ride, that is proving to be more tedious than desired. Bah.
Keep you posted.
