Do you remember when you realized photography was more than a point and shoot camera?
Yes, I realized this early on and it has been my driving for to try to constantly improve and try new things.

What was your first camera? And what is your current.
First camera was a Pentax Super Program. I now shoot with all Canon gear.
What has photography done to your life?
Photography and skiing is my life. I dont know what I would do if I where not shooting skiing. As a career photography has let you see much of the world.
Where are the places you wish to return or are most memorable?
I wish to return to every place that I have skied that has deep powder, steep terrain and good friends.
Being an action sport photographer, one would generally assume you also play the games you shoot. What are favorite sports to do with out a camera bag on your back?
When I am not shooting skiing, you can find me riding one of my mtn bikes.Who or what do you look too find inspiration in?
I look to and find inspiration in the people that I work with. Action sports photography is a collaboration between the athlete and the photographer so I feel it is essential to have a good synergy and to feed off of each others ideas.
Life behind a lens means being witness to the best of times and the worst. Please let us know an experience from each.
Best: The November to remember at Baker. This was the deepest storm cycle in Baker history and it was immediately followed by a perfect blue bird pow day.
Worst: Anytime an athlete gets hurt, but it especially gets to me when we loose a friend to the mountains.
What would you say to a young shooter with who dreams of traveling the world taking photos of the elite athletes in our sports?
Being willing to work your ass off non-stop but most importantly keep a good positive attitude on life.

Tell us one over looked lesson you have learned in the photo business:
Being prepared for any situation. This does just mean having the gear and knowledge to shoot in any situation but also being prepared if there is an accident or if someone gets hurt.
