Day Four: Tuesday

Today they got lost and did an extra 9 km on already grueling 60km day. The ride involved 2 ferry rides and a lot of singletrack. I only shot one spot because directions were almost impossible. By some fluke me and Kaijo (my Jaapanes photo friend) stumbled on 2 guys who built the trails and they hooked us up with a sweet spot. Thanks dudes.

So since the girls got lost and dropped a position overall they were bummed, so I had to bring some stoke back. So I buffed out and cleaned there bikes then took them out for dinner- rather than the nightly meal service we get at the race. We are in Sechelt and it so nice here, I could dig living here.

The night before I hung out with the Japanese crew, one of the guys is actually from Vancouver but has lived in Japan for 14 years. We swapped stories of powder skiing in Japan. Some of his stories involved Craig Kelly visiting him and Craig stating one of his greatest secret locations to ride in Japan. But I can't tell you where that is. The beauty of a long event is getting to know your neighbors, not just work networking for work but networking for you own selfish pleasures of finding the best pow in the world to shred. It's been so dam hot on this trip, its funny to get all hyped on deep Japow already.

Right now I'm tucked between the boards and a wall in a hockey area while the first Nirvana album is cranked...
