Do you remember when you realized photography was more than a point and shoot camera?:
The first time I got a roll of film developed :)
What was your first camera? And what is your current?:
My first cameras was a nikon F90X, My current camera's are a d300s and a d700
What has photography done to your life?:
photography made me notice that there is beauty in even the most trivial things. it;s about how you look at things, not what you see.
As a career photography has let you see much of the world. Where are the places you wish to return or are most memorable?:
thats a though one.. there are so many places i would like to visit again.. but surfing again in the south east of mexico is definitely on my list! and spending a winter in Ireland!
Being a photographer, one would generally assume you also participate in the activities you shoot. What are some?:
Surfing and Skateboarding.
Who or what do you look to find inspiration in?:
Nowadays mainly blogs on the internet, whether it be photography, music or art
Life behind a lens means being witness to the best of times and the worst. Please let us know an experience from each.:
Best: early morning is the best moment for surfing because of the lack of wind and the light. The moment from firstlight until sunrise is always amazing, over and over again!!
Worst: when people you shoot with get injured. while shooting snowboarding on a back country kicker, friend and pro snowboarder britte van der pauw broke her hip. sometimes while shooting i wonder if people would go as far if there weren't any camera's around.
What would you say to a young shooter with dreams of traveling the world taking photos?:
It's a job! you have to work hard at it and it won't always be fun......but atleast your "office" will look amazing!!
Tell us one over looked lesson you have learned in the photo business:
photography is half of the work, selling them and promoting yourself it the other half or maybe even more of thebusiness
