Q: Is the waist/hip belt removable?
A: No, it is not possible to remove the hip belt.
Q: Is the TILOPA 50L allowed in the air plane cabins?
A: That really depends on the airline, however we haven't had issue with the TILOPA 50L fitting in the overhead bin. A lot of our users have traveled via many airlines using the TILOPA 50L without issues. Always double-check weight restrictions with the relevant airline before hand. But usually adopting the following tricks can help to ensure that you have no issues. (1) Don't overfill the top compartment of the bag. If the bag looks really full, then you will be more likely to possibly encounter some issues. (2) When approaching check-in desks, always carry the bag using only one shoulder strap. If you are fully harnessed up with all the straps, then it will give the impression that the bag is heavy.
Q: Will the Pro Large ICU and the Drone Case - Large fit inside the TILOPA 50L?
A: Yes, this is a perfect combination.
Q: I removed the metal frame from the TILOPA 50L, how do I re-insert it?
A: The plastic piece on the frame can help you with the direction. The padded white side should be facing your back, and the black plastic side should be facing the inside of the Camera pack. If that doesn't help, feel free to ping us on live chat, we can connect on a video call and help further.

F-stop has always made amazingly well built and rugged gear, and has only continued to refine their products with each new generation of bags. This is my 3rd Tilopa (first one was back in 2014) and is even better than my second one (2017), which had survived being tossed off vehicles, dragged by wild horses, and protected my camera gear in snow, heavy rain, dust storms, and just about every environment you can imagine. The newest genration of Tilopa has some welcome upgrades, including metal buckels, DuraDiamond outer material, and better padding across the chest straps and back. 100% recommend to anyone who needs the "everything bag". Hike, bike, toss it in the overhead for a flight...this is the bag you want.

I bought the Tilopa Dura Diamond about two years ago. It’s now my all round bag. I had a small issue with it a few weeks ago and contacted fstop customer care. They swopped out the bag immediately. Can’t rate them highly enough.

After using it for 3 months, the Tilopa offers plenty of space to carry all the equipment needed for my night photography work: the camera, lighting tools, and extra layers for warmth. The various Internal Camera Units (ICUs) make organizing gear a breeze. I can easily separate my main setup from the star tracker and its accessories (including the equatorial wedge, laser, etc.), ensuring everything is well-organized and accessible. The backpack is also incredibly comfortable to wear. It adjusts perfectly to my body, with the weight evenly distributed on the hips, making long hikes much easier to manage. Compared to other backpacks, including the Satori, I find it a bit tricky to fasten the hip belt with the metal buckle. Perhaps it's just a matter of habit, as I’m used to traditional plastic buckles, although I understand that this one is much more durable. With the ICU Pro Small, I have enough space to carry two cameras and four lenses, leaving room at the top for other accessories (a Micro Tiny ICU with sky-tracking accessories), extra layers, gloves, lighting tools, food, and more.

DEDurable, well built bag with heavy duty zippers and lots or compartments to store your equipment. Shoulder and hip pads are heavily padded for comfort. Very satisfied with this bag.
USFirst off let me say that I own a LOT of camera bags from all different brands. I love f-stop bags for their construction, materials and durability. My last f-stop bag lasted me over 10 years and didn't even need to be replaced after being my main pack that whole time. This bag checks most of the boxes that I need, however a couple things would make it the perfect pack: 1. better side pockets and a dedicated water bottle pouch 2. a roll top. I say the roll top because that is something that other brands have for this size of a bag and is super useful. I've got 4 f-stop bags now and this is my least favorite hence the 3 stars.
