Q: Is there padding on the Front Lid?
A: Yes there is padding pillow inside the lid that can be removed or bent and placed under the ICU. The padding is not as thick or rigid as those on the sides.
Q: Will this Pro XL ICU fit inside the previous generation AJNA 40L?
A: The Pro XL camera insert fits the AJNA 40L. It is compatible but not recommended. It will fill out the entire main compartment and small part of the internal camera unit will not be accessible from the back panel opening. The Pro XL ICU is better suited to the TILOPA 50L backpack. The Pro Large ICU would be a better choice for the AJNA 40L backpack.

I am delighted with this product's ability to hold my larger Nikon lenses and pro camera bodies.
USI use this ICU often as it fits in several packs that I own and holds everything I typically carry which is a Nikon Z9, 14-24, 24-70, 100-400, drone & controller, extra batteries, filters and other random items. Padding is great and doesn't fray like that Shimoda's do. Buy this ICU, you will not be disappointed!

I purchased a new lens that would not fit in that ICU, so ordered the XL Pro which fit great in my Ajna and holds all the gear I need to carry. SwedenThe Pro Large “FILLS” the Tilopa. It allows me to carry my larger lenses with ease . . . I even insert them down high in my bag - up under the top zipper because I would not be able to reach smaller items that high above the opening. Front the top opening - there is room on top of the insert for 1 thin gear bag.
United StatesI bought this to fit my Nikkor 800 PF lens with camera body in my fstop Anja. Being a small pack, Anja has a smaller opening to get the camera through. Nonetheless, the lens with camera attached fits well into the ICU. There is still small space for 2 small lens. Fitting a supertelephoto lens in Anja is important since I don’t always want to check in my camera gear. Fstop makes good bag and icu. This IcU is highly recommended.

The product is perfect to fit a 500/f4 with che camera conencted. It's what I need. The quality is as usall at the top! It is very large, I take it because I need it for the 500, for me it's hard to imagine other kind of use: the space is as in the image, immense: it can carries 500f4, 70-200 and 300 f4 with D850 at the same time!
