Abigail van Kooten is an outdoor photographer and storyteller from the Netherlands with a deep love for adventure, nature, and capturing moments that make you feel something. Currently based in Sweden, she creates story-driven visuals for outdoor brands and entrepreneurs.
Her journey into photography wasn’t exactly planned. After being rejected from graphic design school at 16, she discovered photography instead. After graduating, Abigail explored multiple photography genres before finding her true calling in the outdoors while traveling through Scotland. Today, she combines storytelling, adventure, and brand photography to create captivating visuals that inspires others to explore their own path.
Alongside her photography work, Abigail co-founded In Frame College, where she mentors Dutch photographers in building sustainable and fulfilling creative businesses.
When she’s not behind the camera, you’ll probably find her hiking through the mountains, camping somewhere remote, or completely losing track of time while watching a waterfall.

As snow melts, wildlife activity peaks—bears emerge with cubs, wolves and coyotes hunt, and bison, elk, and moose raise their young across the landscape. The season provides dynamic, story-rich photography opportunities, from dramatic predator encounters to intimate moments with newborn animals. The experience includes lodging, transportation, meals in the field, and small group guidance for an immersive and personalized adventure.
