Aviaaja Schlüter is a polar photographer, expedition guide, and historian with over a decade of experience working across the Arctic and Antarctica. Her work spans extensive sailing expeditions through the Northwest Passage, Svalbard, and the Ross Sea, as well as seasons spent in the remote interior of the Antarctic continent. Specialising in wildlife and environmental storytelling, she documents life in extreme environments — from drifting sea ice to emperor penguin colonies and historic sites in the remote corners of the world. Through her photography, Aviaaja aims to inspire a deeper connection to the fragile, powerful landscapes of the polar regions.
