Martha is a nature and landscape photographer born and raised in Mexico City and now based in Colorado. Her fascination with photography began at an early age and evolved into a powerful way to share the beauty, emotion, and significance of the natural world. With a background in art and graphic design, her practice deepened through a formative black-and-white film course, where learning to develop her own images shaped her understanding of photography as both a technical and expressive craft.

Her work is driven by a love for the outdoors, a spirit of adventure, and a desire to connect people more deeply with nature. Martha’s photography seeks not only to document places, but to translate the emotional atmosphere they evoke, creating images that offer moments of pause and reflection in an increasingly fast-paced world. Embracing experimentation and play allows her work to grow organically, free from rigid expectations.

Martha is the co-founder of Outdoor Photo Alliance and Horizons Photography, both created with the vision of fostering connection, learning, and growth within the outdoor photography community. Through her images and community work, she aims to inspire appreciation, respect, and a quiet but urgent call to conserve and protect the wild places we all cherish.

Carlos González is the photographer and founder of Xtrem Photo Tours (xtremphototours.com). His work is focused on capturing the raw power of landscapes in real-world conditions, primarily across the Asturian coast, the Picos de Europa, and Iceland. Moving away from staged or catalog-style shots, Carlos seeks the authenticity of every location, chasing dramatic light and moments where nature shows its wildest side. Through his workshops and photo tours, he works side-by-side with other photographers, sharing his on-the-ground experience to help them capture the shots they’ve been dreaming of.

Ju Shen Lee takes‘Real . Life . Photos’ of resourceful people doing remarkable things in remote regions. She comprehensively chronicles the vigour and vitality of their readily seen and rarely seen daily lives in the arc of a day. Her international life experiences, earth sciences studies, and global environmental and sustainability management career, give her an empathetic eye for the synergy and symbiosis of nature, life, and culture. Her photographs open hearts and minds to how these people work closely together to balance their economic priorities in an environmentally sustainable, socially responsible, and ecologically regenerative manner. With her beautiful â€˜Real . Life . Photos’ of people, nature, and landscapes, she crafts gorgeous photo stories with creative composition, compelling content, and cultural context.

Her photography is more than a visual bridge between the subject and the viewer. It is also a cultural bridge to different worlds. By going beyond the visual feast of enigmatic people in exotic regions, her photographs immerse the other senses in the underlying sounds, aromas, flavours, and textures. Her photography is also a historical bridge for future generations to savour and study the past real life at these locations before the inevitable and irreversible changes due to technology and time. Consequently, her photography connects people from different cultures living in different worlds in different times.

Ju Shen has undertaken photo expeditions to Bhutan, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Preparations for these 1-2 month expeditions include detailed research on all aspects of the geography, nature, and architecture at these locations, and the history, culture, and livelihoods of the people there. She also consults local experts for their extensive expertise and experience. This knowledge, access, and time enable her to uniquely photograph and holistically chronicle both the readily seen and rarely seen daily lives of the people and communities there.

Her‘Real . Life . Photos’ support her vision to motivate individuals and organizations to actively participate in the development, growth, and prosperity of these people, as they strive to survive, despite the constraints and challenges of climate and geography. In line with this, her mission is to document, showcase and promote the positive, constructive, synergistic, and symbiotic interactions between people and nature, geography and occupations, and enterprise and communities. Her goal is to achieve this with her photographs, presentations, and publications.

Many of Ju Shen’s photographs and photo-documentaries have been shortlisted for, and a number have won, international awards sponsored by prestigious institutions, including the Asia-Europe Foundation (2016), Beau Monde Traveler (2020), Royal Geographical Society (2021 and 2023), the International Photography Awards (2023), the Food Photography Awards (2023), and the Sony World Photography Awards (2024). She has delivered lectures to international audiences at the Royal Geographical Society (Hong Kong and Singapore Branches), and the United World Colleges worldwide. Ju Shen has published several photo books, including Luang Prabang - Life & Prayer (2018), Luang Prabang - The Monks (2019), Inle Lake - Ingenious Lives (2020), Annapurna - Challenging Lives (2023), Chitwan - Mahouts & Elephants (2024), and Gal Oya - Life & Water (2025).

Ultimately, Ju Shen’s‘Real . Life . Photos’ open the aperture and provide exposure to rarely seen people, cultures, and worlds!

Drawn by distant horizons and the fire of African sunsets, Michael is an explorer shaped by wild wonders. Introduced to the wilderness from a young age, his passion for travel and untamed places became a guiding compass for his life, not just a career.

Grounded in conservation and experience gained in world-renowned reserves across South Africa, he spent nine years as a private and head guide with Wild Eye, learning to craft journeys that are seamless, safe, and unforgettable. His adventures have since taken him from Africa’s great wildernesses to the rainforests of South America, the ice-carved landscapes of Iceland and Greenland, the polar silence of Svalbard, and the mystic wilds of India — always chasing light, fleeting moments, and what lies beyond the next ridge.

All of this expertise now fuels Wilder Escapes, his boutique travel and destination company. Every safari, expedition, and escape is designed around the traveller’s story, pace, and the moments that matter most. Michael’s mission is simple: to create journeys that feel effortless, deeply personal, and unforgettable — allowing each guest to experience the wild in a way that is meaningful and uniquely their own.

Whether it’s a first safari, a family adventure, or a once-in-a-lifetime expedition, Michael curates each experience to inspire curiosity, spark awe, and leave lasting memories. Those seeking to explore, discover, and experience the WILDER world are invited to connect and begin their journey with Wilder Escapes.

Surya is a city boy Chennai who later pursued his passion into the wild. His jungle journey commenced in the forests of Satpura at Forsyth’s. Personally having been mentored by some of the stalwarts of Indian wildlife conservation and research, his interests widened to all types of life forms, especially the lesser fauna of the region and their microhabitats. Satpura having been a less tiger centric park gave him the chance to explore other activities other than just Jeep safaris. After 5 years at Satpura he moved to Kanha and also experienced the feelers of working in a major tiger park. Be it Satpura or Kanha the thing Surya enjoys the most is the idea of guiding, explaining and documenting the little secrets of the jungle to people rather than just seeing it for himself. His work in this regard earned him the prestigious TOfT award in the year 2016. His award winning photographs, articles and research documentation work have been used in journals and published widely in various wildlife magazines.

In 2015, along with a friend and colleague, he successfully authored ‘Photo Field Guide to Wildlife of Central India’ and in 2021, the ‘Photo Guide to Wildlife of South India’ which covers 850 and 1960 species respectively of each region. These are first of its kind field guides in India that simplify information and make it accessible and usable for the enthusiast.

During the Monsoon period he leads specialist wildlife expeditions to parts of Africa, Brazil, the Red Pandas of Nepal and Western Ghats wilderness for specialist groups, photographers and researchers. He is also one of the certified expedition leaders for the WWF international team and an ambassador for Swarovski Optik Birding for India.

Surya believes that the key to sustainable ecotourism is to keep the locals at the helm. He currently is working on creating wildlife experiences in off the map destinations with the locals steering it all the way through. He, along with a team, have spent the last 8 years in Ladakh, working with the local community and assisting in the setup of dedicated wildlife lodges such as Snow Leopard Lodge. He believes that this could help in a lot of conservation issues faced in our country, especially in wild spaces outside protected areas.
