Johannes Kowalewski is a landscape photographer from northern Germany. His passion for
photography was born out of his love for nature. While thru-hiking the Te Araroa trail in New
Zealand in 2017, he bought his first camera to document his adventures along the way for
friends and family. After traveling to New Zealand, Johannes immersed himself in the world
of photography and has since become a self-taught landscape and nature photographer.
What was initially intended as a supplement to his hiking activities soon became the main
reason to get out into nature. Living on the North Sea coast, he naturally began his
photographic journey by capturing seascapes. Having dabbled in various genres of
landscape photography, he now specializes in intimate/abstract landscapes and woodlands.
He is particularly fascinated by the fact that these kinds of images give no indication of
where they were taken. As a matter of fact, they could have been taken anywhere. This
allows him to create impressive and evocative photos away from well-known locations.
Johannes offers numerous workshops in Germany and Europe, where he passes on his
passion for nature and his knowledge of photography.

Born and raised just outside Vancouver, in Burnaby, British Columbia – an area rich in biodiversity – it didn't take Jess long to spark an interest in the natural world. His childhood was spent hiking and birdwatching with his family, throughout the Pacific Northwest. With help from his father, an avid hobbyist nature photographer at the time, this interest in the outdoors developed into a passion for artistically documenting living creatures and dramatic landscapes. In 2011, Jess was awarded the International Youth Photographer of the Year award from Nature's Best Photography; prompting him to further pursue this serious hobby.

Since then, Jess has gone on to be awarded in the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, among other accolades. Photography has brought him deep into the backcountry of the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and throughout remote regions of Central and South America. Living in an area with charismatic wildlife rivaled only by the surrounding scenery, Jess has developed a unique style combining elements from both landscape and wildlife photography; creating contextual images that bridge the gap, speaking to both the animal's and environment's story. Equally at home, alone in the wilderness or in a group setting sharing his experiences, Jess is eager to continue exploring; raising awareness about the world's incredible natural beauty, as well as guiding photography workshops to help others pursue their passion. Jess' work has been displayed at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington DC, the London Natural History Museum in the UK and the Royal British Columbia Museum in Victoria, Canada. He is also an experienced public speaker, having lectured aboard Cunard Cruise Liners, and at the renowned Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles, California.

Jerome Colombo is a 46-year-old French photographer living in Brittany. He is an engineer by training and has worked his entire career in the automotive industry.

He started photography at the age of 16 and has always been fascinated by the sea and he fell in love with Brittany to the point of coming to live there for a few years. He quickly became interested in landscape photography and its specificities, such as the use of ND and GND filters. His attraction to the sea and photography naturally led him towards seascapes. From that moment on, he started as a professional photographer. During his workshops, he not only offers to share his knowledge in the preparation and practice of photography, but also to discover the most beautiful places in Brittany and the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel. Jerome has always had Nikons.

He currently only uses one camera and it's still the Nikon Z7. Despite the recent arrival of the fantastic Z9 and Z8, he has not given in to temptation and is patiently waiting for the arrival of a replacement for the Z7 to change it. On the other hand, he is much more demanding in terms of lenses and has chosen to invest in the most efficient for his specialty which are now: 14-24 f/2.8, 24-70 f/2.8 and 100-400 f/4.5 -5.6. To transport all of his equipment, Jerome uses an f-stop Ajna daily, but sometimes uses a Tilopa for traveling or a Guru UL for "light" outings.

He even self-published a book covering the events of the Geldingadalir eruption from day one.
