Ollie Taylor started on the landscape photography path in 2003, establishing his hobby as a part time business by 2007 alongside working in architecture. During a photographic commission in Iceland late 2010, he became hooked on nightscape photography. Ollie saw astrophotography as a route into full time freelancing due to there being no astro dedicated, consistent workshops advertised in Europe. After some trial runs in 2013, he advertised a full portfolio of landscape astrophotography workshops for 2014 and quit his 9-5 that spring.
Venturing into landscape astrophotography in the early years also led to a string of clients and commissions, including long contracts with multiple brands and electronic manufacturers. Work and articles featured in countless magazines and books alongside websites. Ollie has also produced hundreds of dedicated articles on night photography for photography and astronomy magazines over the last decade, picking up several photographic awards along the way.
For the last 11 years Ollie has predominantly lived out of a suitcase.
