The Fitzroy 11L Urban Series Sling Camera Bag was inspired by Fitzroy, Melbourne's epicenter for urban creatives. Fitzroy is known for its vintage shopping, hip bars, and vegan eateries. If you are planning an excursion to some place like Fitzroy, a simple, easy to carry camera bag is a must.
The Fitzroy gives you easy and secure access to your camera gear and carry along essentials. The sling bag’s remarkable design sets the Fitzroy apart from its competition. Add f-stop's build quality and you have found a perfect match for your urban adventures.
Q: Can the Fitzroy 11L be worn over both shoulders?
A: The Fitzroy is intended to be mounted from the right side of your body. It can be worn on the left shoulder, but in that case it should be mounted from the right side and over the head so that it goes across your chest.
Q: Can you use it to carry a 16" laptop?
A: The tablet sleeve compartment within the Fitzroy 11L bag will accommodate tablets up to 12" in size.
Q: Can you attach a peak design travel tripod to this pack?
A: Yes, on the side with the compression straps. Opposite of the main compartment zipper.

It‘s smaller than expected. Although 11l means 11l, so there‘s that. Still, I wish it was a little bigger. It just fits my A7IV with one small lens monted and another small lens. The one thing that I don‘t like is that the side-zipper is on the „wrong“ side. So you can‘t „sling“ it to the front quickly and have fast access to your gear, you have to take it off your back completely. As there‘s no way to open the sling, you have to pull it over your head every time. Also, a little nitpick, but it‘s priced at €99,99, so you also have to get something else to get over the €100 for free shipping.
Hi Markus, thanks for the feedback. Have you tried carrying the Fitzroy over your head with the strap resting on your left shoulder, that way the zipper will not be on the wrong side. Please see the image from the link: https://fstopgear.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/tokyo-through-henry-ck-5-1.jpg
Bag is great quality & looks. Holds my camera and everyday items.
Canon r5 + 2 lenses and flash.... just an inch to small...
The success of a photograph depends on several factors, and the equipment that gives us confidence and security, is what we should keep in mind as a first option. A quality backpack with a practical layout is all we need as a landscape photographer. Since I started using the Ajna 37 L I have been impressed with the quality and robustness, but sometimes a smaller backpack is all I need. Most of the time in Ria de Aveiro, I only work with a wide angle lens and a 40mm pancake with my camera. I found in Fitzroy 11 L, the ideal backpack to carry a DSRL, 16-35 lens, 40mm pancake, set of filters, gradients, NDs and a polarizer. The portability and lightness with the Fitzroy backpack made my choice. I highly recommend this little gem made by f-stop.
My main landscape camera gear is carried in a Tilopa but I was looking for a small pack to carry my lightweight infrared set up and this fits the bill perfectly. My first thought when it arrived that it was never going to be big enough, it looks tiny tiny but I was pleasantly surprised by what it can hold... It comfortably fits my two Fuji infrared converted cameras and three lenses in the removable camera compartment plus batteries and other bits and bobs in the pockets. Then on top there's room for a spare layer and book in the roll-top section. In use the bag is super light and comfortable and it's quick and easy to slip it round to access the side pocket. I didn't get on well with the stabiliser strap but that is removable so not a problem. Although this is a bag is going to live a bit of an easier life than my Tilopa it is reassuring to see that it is made from the same tough material and with the same attention to detail that you expect from f-stop.

So far, love it. Wish the padded strap ran further along the front and that the tripod strap wasn't there, but otherwise it is a badass bag. Waterproofing is a huge plus I am grateful for.
Pros: - looks great worn - color is fantastic - can fit a surprising amount of stuff - well padded - very comfortable to wear for short periods -great value for money Cons: - the front is not very waterproof: water collects in the flaps of the zips which allows water to pool and seep into the bag. under conditions harsher than light rain, the waterproofing doesn’t hold up. - the back has little to no water proofing/resistance - side access only on one side - no padding on the camera insert where the side access is - bag rigidity relies on the camera cube insert - comfort goes away on longer periods; strap is not reversible so can’t switch shoulders, back is padded but has no airflow - passport pouch zipper is a regular zipper
Thanks for the feedback; this is definitely an urban focused item!
When it comes down to size, convenience, and features, the Fitzroy is my favorite pack for carrying my camera gear. It’s a perfect size for daily use (camera body -R5- and 3 lenses -16-35, 24-70, 70-200 w/ 2x ext), batteries and a few smaller items), as well as when I’m a few hundred feet up on a wall photographing climbers. I love the security of the roll top, the snaps, and finishing snap buckle strap- so I know my camera isn’t going to work its way out while I’m climbing or riding my mountain or dirt bikes through the mountains. The adjustable side strap that clips to the shoulder sling provides a nicely stabilized and secure wrap-around feel while moving, at times I don’t even feel it on me. The Fitzroy is a perfect minimalist bag, and built really well. Side zipper access to the compartments for my lenses makes it convenient when I’m on the rope and switching lenses- which can be my hairiest moment while working at height. I can’t say enough about how much I love this little bag!
