It has been very good. I purchased it for a trip with lots of flights and I was not questioned once as to it fitting under the seat or in the overhead bins. I wore it for 16 days straight with tonnes of walking and hiking. I have the Medium slope insert so had a Nikon D850 plus a 19mm and 45mm tilt shift, 1.4 converter, a 24-70mm plus batteries and trigger. I also took a DJI Mini 3 pro in its carrying case that fit inside as well. I was in a lot of urban areas so had a rain cover on to keep out the weather and to stop any attempts of theft thru the top zippers. It is well built.
Perfect size for my Leica M setup for daily travel and landscape session. Mountain hikes are its best
I love this camera bag. It is the perfect size; not too big, not too small. The only reason I do not give it five stars is that F-Stop does not have a Shallow LARGE ICU available. This bag can easily fit, really needs, the Shallow LARGE ICU.
A good backpack is the same thing as being well insured. Lotus 4 Core is the third f-stop backpack that is part of my equipment. I recently took a trip to 4 countries to perform wksps, and it was enough to carry my Canon R5, Canon RF15-35 f/2.8, Canon 17mm TS-E and 70-200, and also the small bag for my filter set. It is a very affordable, robust and very practical backpack for traveling. I recommend it 100%.
Ever since I first saw the bag used by a friend, tried it, I fell in love with it right away. I’ve so far taken it on photography projects where I needed to carry two cameras with at least 4 lenses, it all fit snuggly and maintained its compactness. In fact, as I am writing this review, I’m traveling through airports, have it fully loaded with the same equipment with extra, batteries, power banks, a laptop, and other bits and bobs. I love its size and it can hold the necessary equipment I need, the compactness and fit to my tall size is perfect!
To make this a 10/10 backpack, I would add some kind of divider between the top access and the ICU to prevent items from slipping down. For the side mesh pockets, I’d prefer a more durable material to hold larger bottles or heavier items, as well as a small internal pocket without zippers in the back panel opening. Overall, though, I’m very happy with the backpack. PD: Sorry for my English if I’ve made any spelling mistakes.
Great. I was looking for an f-stop solution for carryover non-gripped Nikon gear on motorcycles. The trim Lotus 4 Core has enough depth for my gear, yet is nicely trimmed down, making it perfect for my application.
I purchased this backpack in January and after 6 months of use... to date I can only say one thing... I found the perfect backpack for daily use or little more (I write this as the owner of Tilopa and Ajna). What immediately attracted me to this backpack were its extremely compact dimensions but at the same time it manages to satisfy every extra need.. Let me explain better.. I combined it with the ICU Medium Slope, which I already owned, on the site they say it is compatible and not as recommended probably because to insert it you have to use slightly more force... but... I assure you that it fits perfectly. In addition to this, inside I can fit everything needed for an out-of-door trip; some spare clothes (t-shirt, trousers and a light jacket) or a single down jacket or I can add extra photographic equipment on top... in short, I have always managed to organize myself as best I can without ever leaving things behind Nothing. Nothing to say about the resistance and quality of the materials, the fit is excellent once worn!. I found it really convenient to already have the side straps supplied to attach a tripod, which in other backpacks must be purchased separately (gatekeeper). In the early stages I found it inconvenient not to have additional internal pockets (those that can be found in the backrest of the older brothers Tilopa and Ajna for example) but having them probably meant having extra weight and/or other encumbrances and would have gone beyond outside the conception of this backpack. I found the pocket located in the belt which is tied at the waist where you can insert a card holder, cell phone, batteries etc. etc. extremely convenient. To date the only negative thing could concern the choice of colours, currently only the black variant is on the market, which is still a beautiful color but the others... are out of my mind!. I would like to recommend this backpack to anyone looking for a backpack that isn't very bulky, compact for everyday use that occasionally goes a long way, slightly more so for out-of-town trips, where you need to carry extra material with you.
Good, would be great if it were 2-3 inches less tall. I primarily use it for mountain biking with gear (I'm a 5'9" professional mtn bike photographer), and it's a little too tall but stil works.
