Sundeep Bali is a lens-based artist, commercial photographer and a heritage
professional from New Delhi, India.
He has been observing, researching on and imaging myriad manifestations of
heritage in India; especially the complex bio-cultural heritage raised by
nomadic & itinerant communities of India.
While Bali’s approach has been that of a visual anthropologist, his work
increasingly aligns with environmental humanities.
Bali is a Fulbright Fellow in Visual-arts(2004-5). He is a global Ambassador for
Fujifilm.
Sundeep has exhibited widely in India and around the globe. He also serves as
a core-faculty for Photography at Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts and
Creativity(SACAC, Delhi)
Patrons include Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation(SDC), Public
Arts Trust of India(PATI), Foundation for Ecological Security(FES), Goethe
Institut(New Delhi), Centre for Pastoralism(CFP) and Center for Social
Ecology(Censeindia) among others.
