In 23 years, Jacquie Matechuk has earned a reputation for capturing "the moment" with images that speak to the journey and successes of her subjects. It’s her profound love for storytelling that gives her subjects a voice to be heard. Always striving to produce visuals that are both thought-provoking and emotionally relatable.
"Our inherent connection to the natural world reveals our complete dependence on the health and biodiversity of this complex planet. And I believe as creatives, it falls on us to generate content that is relatable and engaging for those who may never experience firsthand, the places and things we do."
Whether she’s focused on epic scenery, iconic architecture, wildlife conservation, or professional sports, Jacquie’s goal remains the same: put the viewer in the moment and set their mind free. Today, Jacquie shares her passion for photography as a Canon Canada Ambassador, anxious to teach other creators how to nurture and grow their passion. Whether she’s mentoring a small group of photographers in the pristine wilderness of the Canadian coastline or working with the CCPC (Canadian Conservation Photographers Collective) to partner with organizations leading the fight to protect what we have.
So from the canyons of the Andes Mountains, as a certified bear guide, to the sidelines of the CFL, you’ll find Jacquie always grateful for the time and opportunities to do what she loves. To accept the challenge of capturing a moment in time that might otherwise go unnoticed. She will continue to strive to uniquely and creatively capture the people, places, and biodiversity of this beautiful planet.
Jacquie’s international recognition includes a gold medal at the 2024 World Photographic Cup, and again at the 2024 International Visionary Awards, 2024 Canadian Commercial Photographer of the Year title, a Masters of Photographic Arts and several other international award-winning captures… "I invite you to enjoy the world as I see it."

Jeff is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (and dropout...long story), philosophy undergraduate (which he admits has been surprisingly useful), international multimedia journalism MA (China Cohort), and professional wanderer (over 12 years of living in countries in Africa, Asia, and S. America) that is grateful to somehow have carved out a living creating photos and make videos all over the world (…and by somehow he means a life of never-ending learning, cursing, laughing, crying, failing, and finally becoming good enough to be paid).
Although his background is in multimedia journalism and documentary photography (which wasn’t exactly paying the bills), his specialty over the last few years has been mostly documentary brand storytelling for Trek Bikes. However, never one to be idle, he recently decided to switch it up and is currently the Director of Multimedia for Americares, a large NGO in the international disaster relief and health sector. He also helps teach photography workshops for National Geographic's Student Expeditions in the summer when his schedule allows.

Going into high school some 20 plus years ago I made two decisions that have shaped my life more than I ever could have imagined. The decision to study Japanese, and the decision to take a class in photography. Back then my free time was filled with solitary hours in the school’s dark room, and sitting at my parent’s dinning room table studying Japanese while listening to the latest grundge hits on the radio.
Fast forward to present day and I now find myself living in Japan for over 14 years, and now able to work as a professional photographer. Becoming a “pro-photog” as they say did not happen over night. I have enjoyed playing with photography the past 20 years, and have been slowly building my career here in Japan for the past 10 years. Through good friends I have made in the Japanese freestyle motocross community, I was invited to one of Red Bull’s first events here in Japan, and since that amazing encounter, I have been able to grow and develop my skills in adventure sports photography to the point where it is now my career.
These days I shoot for many brands such as Red Bull, G-Shock, Puma, Sony, Reebok, Murasaki Sports, as well as other local Japanese universities, sports teams and both domestic and international publications. My work takes me all over Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, and even over seas when I can. Traveling to unknown locations is one of the best parts of photography. You always meet amazing people and enjoy new and unforgettable adventures.
