Born and raised just outside Vancouver, in Burnaby, British Columbia – an area rich in biodiversity – it didn't take Jess long to spark an interest in the natural world. His childhood was spent hiking and birdwatching with his family, throughout the Pacific Northwest. With help from his father, an avid hobbyist nature photographer at the time, this interest in the outdoors developed into a passion for artistically documenting living creatures and dramatic landscapes. In 2011, Jess was awarded the International Youth Photographer of the Year award from Nature's Best Photography; prompting him to further pursue this serious hobby.

Since then, Jess has gone on to be awarded in the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, among other accolades. Photography has brought him deep into the backcountry of the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and throughout remote regions of Central and South America. Living in an area with charismatic wildlife rivaled only by the surrounding scenery, Jess has developed a unique style combining elements from both landscape and wildlife photography; creating contextual images that bridge the gap, speaking to both the animal's and environment's story. Equally at home, alone in the wilderness or in a group setting sharing his experiences, Jess is eager to continue exploring; raising awareness about the world's incredible natural beauty, as well as guiding photography workshops to help others pursue their passion. Jess' work has been displayed at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington DC, the London Natural History Museum in the UK and the Royal British Columbia Museum in Victoria, Canada. He is also an experienced public speaker, having lectured aboard Cunard Cruise Liners, and at the renowned Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles, California.

Home Base: Denmark

I am trained in photography from Media College Denmark in Viborg and have since specialized in action and adventure sports. My base is in Denmark, but I have the entire world as my playground.

I cannot imagine doing anything else. Photography has taken me to so many exciting places around the World, and it has given me so many fantastic experiences and friendships.

I have been traveling the World for the past 10 years to shoot sports for commercial and editorial customers, as well as events. I have been fortunate enough to work with loads of exciting people on a broad variety of assignments. But I also find the time to execute personal projects, as I have a great need to express and display my creative thoughts.

I am very fascinated by athletes’ strive to accomplish perfection, as I can recognize my self in it. I can easily relate to it when I photograph anything from Olympic medallists, world champions, and European champions to sports talents and living legends.

With great dedication and passion, I try with my visual approach, to produce pictures that cater to my client's needs with a focus on details, and I tell stories through inspiring photographs. This is why my clients trust me with their most important assignments. I love to travel, explore new surroundings, and unite them with spectacular action sports. To be perfectly honest, I am most relaxed when I am on the plane to the next assignment. Furthermore, I love to immerse in projects and sports so that I know, that I am properly prepared for the assignments I take on. I am always up for a chat about projects, sports, camera equipment, and mostly anything else.

When I am not taking pictures I can be caught running or on my racing bike (if you can keep up)

Jerome Colombo is a 46-year-old French photographer living in Brittany. He is an engineer by training and has worked his entire career in the automotive industry.

He started photography at the age of 16 and has always been fascinated by the sea and he fell in love with Brittany to the point of coming to live there for a few years. He quickly became interested in landscape photography and its specificities, such as the use of ND and GND filters. His attraction to the sea and photography naturally led him towards seascapes. From that moment on, he started as a professional photographer. During his workshops, he not only offers to share his knowledge in the preparation and practice of photography, but also to discover the most beautiful places in Brittany and the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel. Jerome has always had Nikons.

He currently only uses one camera and it's still the Nikon Z7. Despite the recent arrival of the fantastic Z9 and Z8, he has not given in to temptation and is patiently waiting for the arrival of a replacement for the Z7 to change it. On the other hand, he is much more demanding in terms of lenses and has chosen to invest in the most efficient for his specialty which are now: 14-24 f/2.8, 24-70 f/2.8 and 100-400 f/4.5 -5.6. To transport all of his equipment, Jerome uses an f-stop Ajna daily, but sometimes uses a Tilopa for traveling or a Guru UL for "light" outings.

Whether she’s focused on epic scenery, iconic architecture, wildlife conservation, or professional sports, Jacquie’s goal remains the same: put the viewer in the moment and set their mind free. Today, Jacquie shares her passion for photography as a Canon Canada Ambassador, anxious to teach other creators how to nurture and grow their passion. Whether she’s mentoring a small group of photographers in the pristine wilderness of the Canadian coastline or working with the CCPC (Canadian Conservation Photographers Collective) to partner with organizations leading the fight to protect what we have.

So from the canyons of the Andes Mountains, as a certified bear guide, to the sidelines of the CFL, you’ll find Jacquie always grateful for the time and opportunities to do what she loves. To accept the challenge of capturing a moment in time that might otherwise go unnoticed. She will continue to strive to uniquely and creatively capture the people, places, and biodiversity of this beautiful planet.
