Rather than list a "resume" of every accomplishment Cecil has ever had or received, he would prefer you to look at his art to determine his qualifications. He does put a lot of work and pride into it, after all. He is up really early on some days, out really late some nights, and some days he does not sleep at all when in search of a photograph. He also spends quite a bit of time behind the keyboard in an effort to further perfect his art. He can only hope you see this dedication and pride in each of his photographs.

Cecil does not have any art background at all. He didn't study under any of the big names in art or photography, in fact, he is self-taught. He simply picked up a camera some time ago, when his oldest son began playing sports. Even though he was 5, Cecil knew he would need good, sharp images to send to all the college scouts and coaches ten years in the future. That's when Cecil decided to purchase his first DSLR. He still blames his son. Soon after, he combined his love of photography with his love of the outdoors. Those two things fit together naturally.

Cecil lives in Huntsville, AL with his family that consists of a wife and 4 boys. They are all awesome.

Carlo Alberto Conti is a  landscape and travel photographer with 12 (and counting) years’ experience as a professional. He lives in La Spezia, a step away from Cinque Terre National park.  It was during his time at those sea-villages that his interest in photography germinated as he started to experiment with shooting the places he went. He studied as surveyor loving the charts and all knowledge which was often been of use in planning his photographic forays.

During his photographic career, he travelled to many corners of the globe, like most photographers but there is one places on Earth, he is attached with by his soul: Iceland. Besides his home town he consider Iceland as his native land. Since when he went there for the first time he was impressed by its remarkable atmosphere of small villages (reminding him to his 5Terre villages), incredible nature and northern lights dancing during the winter time.

Carlo thinks the world can’t live without testimonials, so he strives to share his vision with millions of people to enhance visited places and  inspiring viewers to explore for themselves. Drawing inspiration from the wildest he works to capture stories that inspire humans to consider their relationship with nature, while promoting the preservation of wild places.

Photography brought him new friendship and collaborations. He is an official Clickalps contributor and an Ambassador for Feisol, NiSi, fotopro as well. He is also beta tester for TM panel. He is happiest with his wife Marika raising their two sons Nicolò and Federico in his hometown of La Spezia.

HOME BASE: USA

A decade ago Bryan Smith bought his first camera at WalMart and started calling himself a filmmaker. Armed with a $500 handicam, he embarked on a kayaking expedition to the far reaches of Arunachal Pradesh, India. While his imagery barely cracked amateur status on that first expedition, his passion and persistence would carry him through the ranks of the industry in just 10 years.

His first film, 49 Megawatts, documented a community’s struggle with a hydroelectric project on the Ashlu River and eventually led him to the hallways of National Geographic. He received an Expedition Council grant to lead a team of kayakers into the wilds of Kamchatka and went on to direct The Man Who Can Fly for the National Geographic Channel. After several years as a freelance director of photography for National Geographic, Bryan founded Reel Water Productions. A boutique production company based in Squamish, British Columbia specializing in documentary, expedition, and commercial content.

Bryan currently leads a team of like-minded creatives in the pursuit of authentic storytelling. Their award-winning films have graced festival circuits, television networks, and the online community. Bryan believes the best projects are those with a healthy chance of failure and pass a 60/40 rule. Stories with a 60% chance of succeeding and a 40% chance of failing seem to produce the elements of unknown, emotion, and challenge that audiences crave.
