I didn’t use it because for mee it is too small, I changed it for the slightly larger size. I bought it for when the Tilopa is too big
I’ve carried a big camera backpack for ages and wanted something less conspicuous for going into the city so I bought this. To my surprise it has become my go-to bag and simplified my setup. I can fit my 100-400 lens, a couple filters and an extra battery and a couple SD cards, and that’s all I need. Camera on a strap with a good walk-around lens 24-104) and I’m good to go. The bag looks great and is definitely waterproof (spent last weekend out in pouring rain and everything stayed nice and dry inside). My only complaint is that I wish the handles were removable (I don’t use them).
Bought as a small walk around shoulder bag. Well comfortable to wear waterproof ticks all the boxes I was looking for excellent.
The Kalamaja bag is perfect for a light wandering streets, a lens and flash or just a compact body and two lenses. Love it.
Excellent ultralight 7l bag. I also have the 11l (Florentin). I really would like to have a 9l bag in between to fit my Sony A1 with the 20-70 (with sunshade attached, not reversed) an the Tamron 70-300. Here the Florentin is to big. F-Stop, please think about. I also love my Tilopa big backpack.
I've just started using this bag and love it for times where I just want to carry a body and wide angle zoom lens. I can fit that, along with a few small items, and I'm good to go for documentary shoots where I don't want my bag to get in the way.
I've purchased many MANY camera bags over the years in an effort to find the right one. When I told my wife I was purchasing another one, she rolled her eyes at me. When it arrived, she commented on how much better is seemed to match what I was looking for. What I love: -It's a camera bag that doesn't blatantly look like a camera bag -Great color -Great padding -Perfect size for my Leica, an extra lens, and charging equipment -Metal hardware that doesn't squeak when I walk -Tough, no one is going to be able to rip it from my body and steal everything when I'm out on the street I highly recommend this bag if, like me, you've been searching for the right small bag.
The Kalamaja is a great bag for an on-the-go trip into the city. Simple, but functional, this bag is my go to for all my day trips shoots into the city. The small bag is great for when I am on public transit and have to fit into a small space and when I am sitting down for a snack it is easy to manage vs a bigger bag. This bag allows me to stash a body and two lenses which is my general go to for a simple setup.
A great little bag which I use for day trips to photograph some of the medieval cities, towns and villages in our part of France. I carry an Olympus EM1 mirrorless body along with a 12-40mm standard zoom and a 7-14mm wide angle in the bag. Most of the time the camera and one lens is in hand so the bag and the remaining lens are very light. There is also a useful zipped compartment for extra batteries and memory cards etc. The bag is very low key which is great in urban environments as it doesn't attract the wrong king of attention. The strap is well attached to the bag with some strong alloy clips but I would appreciate a little padding on the strap for when I have to put the camera and lenses away. As it is, the webbing is not that wide and can dig into the shoulder a little after a while. I don't understand the need for the little carry handles, perhaps a padded strap would be a better use of the weight? Aside from this the bag is very well put together, robust and looks like it will withstand abrasions and sudden downpours.
