Pro XL - Interchangeable Camera Unit (ICU)

When I found out that this ICU would fit into my Tilopa, I had to have it. Being able to carry my 600 inside on a trip or hiking is fantastic. Before I got this, I had to strap it to the top or side of my pack. Being able to have it inside my bag gives me extra security and peace of mind.

I recently bought this ICU to use it with my Tilopa DuraDiamond backpack. I bought this ICU mainly because I wanted an ICU capable of accommodating a body with a big lens attached. In my case I have a Nikon Z8 and a 180-600mm. In addition to this, I stored also a second body with a zoom lens attached, a few other lenses and accessories.

I put a Pro XL ICU in an Ortlieb Atrack 45L backpack. It was used daily for the past six weeks and went from Svalbard to Tanzania to Kenya and back. It held a Nikon Z9 & Z8, 1.4x & 2x converters, 14-24, 24-70, 70-200, 180-600, multiple batteries for both cameras, chargers and several sizes of filters perfectly. It protected the equipment during 21 separate flights, untold kilometers bouncing around in the back of safari Land Rovers, several tuk tuk and taxi rides, and a thousand kilometers onboard a ship and in the bottom of zodiacs. The whole time it has worked flawlessly in some very demanding conditions. Getting lenses, bodies and all the other stuff in and out of it, has been easy. I'll be ordering another one soon for my other Atrack backpack to hold another Z9, 600 f4. , 100-400 and a 28-135. I have no doubt that it will work perfectly and protect this set up as well.

I am delighted with this product's ability to hold my larger Nikon lenses and pro camera bodies.

I use this ICU often as it fits in several packs that I own and holds everything I typically carry which is a Nikon Z9, 14-24, 24-70, 100-400, drone & controller, extra batteries, filters and other random items. Padding is great and doesn't fray like that Shimoda's do. Buy this ICU, you will not be disappointed!

I have several F-Stop bags and the largest ICU I had was the Large Pro. I purchased a new lens that would not fit in that ICU, so ordered the XL Pro which fit great in my Ajna and holds all the gear I need to carry. I am a huge fan of F-Stop and am also very impressed with their customer service.

The XL ICU fits perfectly in the YETI Panga 28 L! I now have a waterproof and bulletproof camera bag.
