The Pro Small ICU (Interchangeable Camera Unit) is a compact, padded, configurable case to carry your camera bodies, lenses, and key accessories. It features storage space for compact camera gear, padded lid with a ¾ length zipper for easy access to your gear. The Pro Small ICU is deep enough to accommodate gripped camera bodies. It is perfect for days when you need to carry 1 body and up to 3 lenses, or need to make room for more accessories in your pack. The padded and microfibre lined interior features removable padded, microfibre lined velcro dividers to allow full customization so you can pack your gear how you want it. The elastic retainer straps help prevent your gear from rattling around while you’re on the move. ICUs are at the very heart of the f-stop modular camera bag and pack system, allowing you to customize how much room your camera gear takes up in your pack.
Q: Is there padding on the Front Lid?
A: Yes there is padding pillow inside the lid that can be removed or bent and placed under the ICU. The padding is not as thick or rigid as those on the sides.
Q: Can the Pro Small ICU fit inside the Dyota 20L pack in addition to the ICU that comes with that bag?
A: It would be a very tight fit. The Shallow Small ICU would fit into the Dyota 20L bag easier.
Q: What is the difference between the Pro Small ICU and the Shallow Small ICU?
A: The difference is the depth. The Pro Small, being apart of the Pro Series ICU range, features a larger depth size. The Shallow Small ICU features a smaller depth. The Pro Small ICU would be better suited to larger camera bodies, such as those including battery grips.

Fits my stuff, keeps it safe! Fell flat on my back a couple of times and my gear is still good
I wanted a setup that would fit my night sky lenses and accessories. I was always carrying parts separately and was finding I'd forget something. The Pro Small insert fits the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer and accessories perfectly. I can also fit a 35mm 1.4 Sigma Art and 14mm 1.8 Sigma Art in this configuration. Also, in this insert, I can add a charging pack, lens warmer and a few other accessories needed for my setup. It's really nice to be able to keep everything together. I can switch this insert out with my daytime camera insert, and I'm really for nightscapes. Easy and convenient.
I use it with my Tilopa backpack when going to the mountains. I carry some lenses in the bag, but also use the Navin bag as a complement. Just love the flexibility of these inserts and backpacks!
This is a great small ICU to either travel with one or 2 lenses apart from your camera body and leave plenty of extra space in the backpacks. I normally use this ICU to store and take my speedlights and chargers and extra lenses for when I shoot real estate photos. I know it sounds like many things for a small ICU but it happens to be very efficient! I think this is definitely a must have as you gain more versatility and space!
Good product! I bought this with the Large ICU to swap between depending on trip length and space constraints. Its a bit of a snug fit for my 400mm prime canon lens with the hood down and can not be attached to my canon R5 when in the ICU so no quick access but if your going to do multiday trips and can only take minimal camera gear this is a good option leaving plenty of room for camping or field gear. Fits well in my 100L Osprey as well as the 65L and 75L (just pack some cloths around it and access isn't as fast compared to an F-stopper bag). Total gear I was able to fit included Canon R5, Canon 400mm prime, 16-35mm ultra wide, 24-105EF lens, and EOS to EF converter. Could even throw a little more in if you don't mind it bumping against the 400mm (small bag of nuts or batteries for example). If you want to shoot in the backcountry but don't want to compromise on safety gear this is a good choice.
This cube fits perfectly my daily backpacks (I don’t use camera bags because of the lack of discretion). I enjoy using it as a sling bag (I attached a shoulder strap to the metal loops) when I am doing a shooting session, because I like to put all my stuff in : 1 Fuji XT4 with a 10-24mm lens on it, facing 1 Fuji XE4 with a 35mm mounted on it, + my 2 heavy 18-35mm and 50mm lenses + my F-Stop Digibuddy that carries my extra batteries, a lensmen and extra SD cards + battery chargers (total load 5 kilos !). Everything is directly accessible and protected. Perfect size for my needs. It is my ideal "minimalist" photography storage. You can carry a lot, and don't have to worry for what you need for your day/trip. It’s compact, protective, lightweight (weights nothing when empty) and has incredible room inside. A perfect compact and robust piece of gear. Warmly recommended !
Bought this to go in my daypack. It fits all of my gear but also takes up most of the space in my daypack. Not quite what I was hoping for but I'll find a use for it now.
Used it for a photowalk a second ProSmall. Into a Lotus 32l rucksack Had a Nikon Z6 with FTZ and 24/3.5 PC/E lens and the 24-120/4 in one, the other packs a 2.8/70-200FLE a D850 some batteries and stuff besides a TC2III. And a Leica M7 with lens and two spare films. That ICU i use when needed lens / cams packs in, and the other room in the Lotus is for light stands and some flashs and stuff. Or packs the stuff for video. And the audio stuff like a Zoom F4 and some microphones.. What would be great is a hard divider between stacked ICUs A cleared ICU below a half loaded ICU
