Fantastic backpack
I owned the original Tilopa for nearly 15 years and it served me well. Well built, quality materials and it only showed cosmetic wear and tear. There were a few things I didn?t like with that bag. This new, updated design addresses the most pain points of the old bag. The storage compartments (pockets, zipped compartments) are more useful now. The laptop compartment is now on the inside, which is more convenient and safer. The backpack is even sturdier now and more comfortable to carry. The build quality seems just as good, if not better, and I like the new color! I love it, and I highly recommend it.

The Best you can buy for your camera Gear
I have been using F-stop Tilopa since 2015. It is one of the finest bag ever made to carry/protect your gears in the wild/expeditions etc. I have used it on Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Svalbard etc. and it has proved that it is an amazing bag. I purchased my second bag recently and I am hoping it will continue to be with me another 20 years. .. Also their warranty service is amazing. I had some issues with the bag after 10 years and they replaced it with new Bag without any delay. .. outstanding service in today's day and age.

a great backpack for everyday photography
I was looking for a comfortable, compact backpack to carry my Canon, two lenses, and a filter bag. I often travel by motorcycle, and this backpack is perfect for that!

Great for heavy gear
Overall great experience with the bag so far. The hip belt relieves shoulder strain with heavy gear in a way that allowed me to photograph with far less discomfort than I would otherwise. The support for a hydration pack was vital when working in the heat, and allowed me to keep safe in challenging conditions.
If I have any complaint, it is that with the hip belt on, access becomes difficult. I have to remove the pack to access pockets or camera gear stowed in the padded storage. A rapid access panel on a side would be a welcome addition.
Other than that, if you are carrying heavy photo gear, this is the pack to get!

Go to bag for climbing photography
This is my go to bag for all climbing adventures with camera. It fits everything from my Canon C400 to R5 m2 and three lenses. Extra straps are very useful for the rope, which I would just throw over the top lid and secure it on the sides. It tends to bring attention at the airport, but if packed properly, there's no issue at all bringing it on board.

Top notch customer service!
I ordered a backpack that was too big (need one small enough to carry on airplanes) so I sent it back so I could order a smaller version. The return process was painless. I've got my Lotus 4 28L now and cant wait to travel to Europe with it next month.

The Ultimate Camera Bag
My GoTo bag for my everyday shooting. This is the perfect bag. It´s a bag filled with features, space and great quality (in booth materials and the build).
I use mine with two sizes of ICU´s to be able to "hot swap" between different setups.
And beside of the main compartment the bag has got so much room.
Eays attachment for carrying tripod or skis.
This bag made my life as a photographer so much easier.

My new Magma Tilopa
As expected, it is a great item. I used an older Lotus and Sukha for a long time and switched to the Tilopa now. I like the new Dura Diamond Material. It took its first havy rain without getting wet inside. But I miss the side straps. They can be addet as 'gate keepers' optional.
The metal closure of the hip belt is also new to me. If it is not closed, you need to be carefull with it, when turning around fast. If you hit a car or a glassdoor etc. this might get a scratch. .. but you will never destroy this belt. .. !

Great pack, but after a few years of relatively light use one of the zippers came loose. The zipper as such did not break it was the stitching/welding that became undone. Since the actual zipper was intact this, to me clearly was an issue of craftsmanship. After a disappointing interaction with the retailer I involved fstop customer service. They said that the fault was not included in the 20 year warranty but that they would make an exception.
Though I don’t appreciate the bald statement of 20 years warranty not covering the clear weakness of the pack I cannot fault fstop that did everything to help. Fstop sent me a new bag free of charge and it was all hassle free. Customer service is very friendly, helpful and responsive.
Fstop have tweaked the pack since I bought mine. It seems more comfortable and the front pocket has a better design. However, I’m less impressed with the removal of the key ring and mesh compartment in the side pockets.
I cannot fault fstop as they have been brilliant and the changes form the original pack are net zero
Great company and backpack that I highly recommend
