From a young age, Helgardt Pretorius has had an enduring passion for the bush and its wildlife, along with a deep desire to share that passion with others. Photography became the perfect medium through which to tell these stories and connect people with the natural world.
Wildlife photography has given Helgardt a deeper perspective on nature, allowing him to appreciate the unique character and beauty of every animal he has been privileged to photograph.
As a full-time airline pilot, his career takes him to the skies—but his heart is always drawn back to the wild. In every spare moment, Helgardt continues to expand his knowledge of the natural world, often with a wildlife book in hand. To further deepen his understanding, he completed online Field Guiding studies and remains actively involved in conservation efforts.
Helgardt has volunteered at sanctuaries such as Care for Wild and Vulture Project SA, contributing to the protection and preservation of the species he cares so deeply about.
He believes that sharing powerful images and stories from the natural world can inspire appreciation, foster meaningful connections, and ultimately contribute to the conservation of wildlife.
David Navia: The Immensity of the Cantabrian Landscape
David Navia (David López GarcÃa) is a landscape photographer based in Western Asturias, a privileged environment that has become the central axis of his work. Specializing in coastal and panoramic photography, his work stands out for capturing the vastness and drama of the Cantabrian coastline, using this format to showcase the grandeur of the cliffs and beaches in a truly immersive way.
Beyond merely documenting locations, David’s photography seeks to convey sensations and connect with the raw power of nature. His vision focuses specifically on working with light and shadow, seizing moments of high atmospheric intensity to shape the landscape and reveal textures that often go unnoticed.
In recent years, his technical evolution has led him to become a reference in his region, sharing his vision through workshops and specialized training. His ultimate goal remains the same: to invite the viewer to pause before the immensity of the scene and rediscover the natural environment through a new light.

Diego Manrique is a professional consultant and landscape photographer based in León, Northern Spain. For more than a decade, he has traveled extensively, with a strong focus on the United States and its National Parks. Although photography had always been present in his life, it was in 2020 when it became a central creative outlet. During the pandemic, with borders closed and his wife based in New York, photography became both a refuge and a catalyst for personal and artistic growth.
He began photographing the rugged coastline of Asturias, gradually developing a distinctive visual language focused on powerful, atmospheric, and remote landscapes. A key turning point came in 2021 during his first trip to the Norwegian Arctic, where he specialized in panoramic photography, Arctic environments, winter light, and aerial perspectives.
In recent years, Diego has received multiple national and international recognitions, including being named Photographer of the Year at the EPSON International Pano Awards, with awards spanning daytime landscape, night photography, and aerial categories. He also serves as a juror in international competitions and collaborates with selected brands within the sector.
While maintaining his professional career in consultancy, Diego approaches photography with the same excellence and commitment, engaging in education, talks, and community initiatives on a non-commercial basis. Driven purely by knowledge sharing and passion, this dual background allows him to approach visual storytelling with both creative sensitivity and analytical rigor.

Danielle has been photographing the world around her for as long as she can remember. As a child, a disposable Kodak film camera was rarely far from her reach.
Years later, the camera remains a constant companion—albeit a more sophisticated one. Her passion for photography, combined with a deep-rooted love for wildlife and untamed landscapes, naturally led her to become a professional photographic guide in Africa, where she was born and still resides. She spent many years living in Botswana, guiding photographic safaris through some of the country’s most remote and wild regions for guests from across the globe. Beyond Botswana, Danielle has led photo tours in Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Kenya, and has travelled extensively through both well-known and lesser-known destinations including Sudan, Lesotho, and Madagascar.
More than three decades spent in the bush have given her an intimate understanding of animal behaviour—an element she considers fundamental to compelling wildlife photography. Witnessing her guests grow in confidence and creativity behind the camera, while immersed in the beauty of the natural world, is what brings her the greatest joy. For Danielle, wildlife photography is as much about patience and presence as it is about the image itself.
Her vision is for photographic safaris to become one of the most sustainable forms of tourism, helping to protect the wildlife and wild places that are increasingly under threat. When she is not in the bush, she is happiest in or on the water—swimming, standup paddle boarding, or simply soaking up the sunshine.
