The Loka 37L is a part of the f-stop Ultra Light range of travel and adventure camera backpacks. It boasts a 37 liter capacity and strikes the balance between photo gear and everyday essentials for short or very physical adventures. The Loka 37L is ideal for the minimal DSLR or mirrorless camera kit. The Loka 37L backpack offers exceptional all-day support provided by an internal aluminum frame and adjustable support system. The Loka 37L is the largest of the three backpacks in the Ultra Light range, joining the Guru 25L and the Kashmir 30L. All three Ultra Light packs feature an all black color which is complimented by 'Malibu Blue' zipper pulls and straps.
Compatible and recommended f-stop Internal Camera Units: 'Micro Tiny', 'Shallow Small', 'Shallow Medium' and the 'Slope Medium'. The Pro Large ICU is also compatible and will fit the Loka 37L pack, however it is not recommended.
Q: Is the waist/hip belt removable?
A: No, it is not possible to remove the hip belt.
Q: What is the difference between the Slope Medium and Shallow Medium ICUs?
A: The difference is that the depth of the Shallow Medium ICU is 12.7cm and the depth of the Slope Medium ICU on one end is 12.7 cm and on the other end is 17.8 cm.
Q: Will the Loka 37L fit a Sony 200-600mm lens?
A: Technically, yes it will fit in the Loka 37L pack if using the Pro Large ICU. However, please note that the Pro Large ICU, while compatible with this pack, it is not recommended. Using the Pro Large ICU will the Loka 37L, will mean that there is little room left in the top compartment of the pack above the ICU for any additional clothing items, etc... that you might want to also bring. For a lens such as the Sony 200-600mm, a better recommendation would the the Tilopa 50L with either the Pro Large or Pro XL ICUs.
Q: What is the difference in features between the Loka 37L and the Ajna 37L seeing as they both have the same capacity, but a little bit different dimensions?
A: The Loka 37L is a part of the Ultra Light Series, whereas the Ajna 37L is a part of the Mountain Series range. The Ultra Light range comes with a 3-year warranty, whereas the Mountain Series range comes with a 20-year warranty. The Ajna also benefits from our new proprietary DuraDiamond® fabric which the Loka does not have. The DuraDiamond® material is both lighter and tougher when compared to the materials used in the Ultra Light series. The DuraDiamond® provides more wweather resistance and more protection against tears/rips when used in harsher conditions and environments. Both are great 37L capacity bags, but built for different scenarios and use cases. The Ultra Light options such as the Loka are great for where the absolute lowest weight is the main desire. Whereas the Mountain Series is our main range for when you want a backpack that is going to take the punishment that harsher conditions will throw at it.
Q: Does this pack have a laptop compartment?
A: The Loka 37L does not have a dedicated laptop compartment. You can use the multi-purpose sleeve to store your laptop, however it is not padded. For extra protection, you can use either of our Laptop Sleeves or our Protective Wraps.
