Shallow Small - Interchangeable Camera Unit (ICU)

Great! I wanted a small unit to put in my rucksack for my ‘trinity’ lenses. Perfect fit for the bottom section of my Savotta Jääkäi L yet still allowing easy access when required!

So far, this is an excellent product, and I have been extremely pleased.

Didn't want a specific (and expensive) photobackpack, which is only to be used for photogear. So the first search was finding a frontloader backpack to get your gear out, without unloading the entire backpack from the top. I found the Deuter Trail 30. It is a frontloader and toploader. Now find a fitting ICU. .. At first I tried an another ICU (BYOB 10 DSLR), very nice ICU with the half opening flap, but the unzipping didn't worked as easy once the ICU was fitted in the backpack because the zipper was way in the back of the backpack. The F-stop ICU Shallow Small camera has the zipper on the front once bagged. To get the ICU in the backpack via the frontloader is tight, but when it is in, it fits perfectly. In this ICU I can fit my mirroless G9 with the Leica 12-60 mounted and there is enough space to pack the Leica 8-18 and the Leica 50-200 with the 1.4 converter. Because the 50-200 is a rather big lens for in this ICU, I also bought a separate lens case (Lowepro Format 110). I can fill up the backpack with other things via the toploader and still access easily my photocamera and other gear. This F-stop Shallow Small camera bag ICU is firm and once fitted offers enough protection for my gear. The rainbag for the backpack which is tucked at the bottom of the backpack offers extra protection for the ICU. So perfect combination!

I bought this ICU to complement the Shallow Medium ICU to reduce the depth of my 50L Tilopa DuraDiamond compared to the Pro Large ICU by using Gatekeeper Straps when traveling by plane. The combination of Shallow Medium and Shallow Small ICU is very suitable to divide the photo equipment on trips. Non-essential equipment such as chargers, cables, lenses, etc. can remain well protected and organized in the Shallow Small ICU on the hotel during photo tours. The ICU itself is well made and very functional.

got it with the Guru UL. It's just the perfect size for my Leica M with 3 lenses and what else is needed (filters, cards, battery pack. .. ). great product.
