Travel & Adventure Camera Backpack
From $ 239.99
The Kashmir 30L is a part of the f-stop Ultra Light range of travel and adventure camera backpacks. It boasts a 30 liter capacity and strikes the balance between photo gear and everyday essentials for short or very physical adventures. The Kashmir 30L is ideal for the minimal DSLR or mirrorless camera kit. The Kashmir 30L backpack offers exceptional all-day support provided by an internal aluminum frame and adjustable support system. This pack retains features of the larger Loka 37L camera bag but has a shorter torso height and harness system. This is makes the Kashmir pack especially suited to the active female photographer. The Kashmir 30L is the middle size of the three backpacks in the Ultra Light range, joining the Guru 25L and the Loka 37L. All three Ultra Light packs feature an all black color which is complimented by 'Malibu Blue' zipper pulls and straps.
Compatible and recommended f-stop Internal Camera Units: 'Micro Tiny', 'Shallow Small', 'Shallow Medium' and the 'Slope Medium'. The Pro Large ICU is also compatible and will fit the Kashmir 30L pack, however it is not recommended.
Q: Is the waist/hip belt removable?
A: No, it is not possible to remove the hip belt.
Q: Will the Kashmir 30L UL carry a Fuji GFX 100s, a 20-30mm, a 45-100, and a 100-200mm lenses without a problem?
A: Yes, that combination of gear will fit in the Medium Slope ICU, and can be paired with the Kashmir 30L UL pack. Please note that the intention behind the UL series is to travel/hike lightly and the weight-bearing limits are not the same as that of the Mountain Series.
Q: Will this bag fit a Nikon D4 with a 70-200mm lens attached?
A: Yes, the Kashmir 30L pack will accommodate that combination of camera gear when paired with the Slope Medium ICU.
Q: What is the difference between the Slope Medium and Shallow Medium ICUs?
A: The difference is that the depth of the Shallow Medium ICU is 12.7cm and the depth of the Slope Medium ICU on one end is 12.7 cm and on the other end is 17.8 cm.
Q: Will the Kashmir 30L fit a Sony 200-600mm lens?
A: Technically, yes it will fit in the Kashmir 30L pack if using the Pro Large ICU. However, please note that the Pro Large ICU, while compatible with this pack, it is not recommended. Using the Pro Large ICU will the Kashmir 30L, will mean that there is very little room left in the top compartment of the pack above the ICU for any additional clothing items, etc... that you might want to also bring. For a lens such as the Sony 200-600mm, a better recommendation would the the Tilopa 50L with either the Pro Large or Pro XL ICUs.
Q: Does this pack have a laptop compartment?
A: The Kashmir 30L does not have a dedicated laptop compartment. You can use the multi-purpose sleeve to store your laptop, however it is not padded. For extra protection, you can use either of our Laptop Sleeves or our Protective Wraps.

The backpack is very good: it is very lightweight and I like the personalization that you can obtain using different ICUs. Some improvements could be: - add more pockets - add some hooks to attach the ICU to the interior of the backpack
Thank you very much for the feedback. The Kashmir is part of the Ultra Light series and to reduce weight we have removed the pockets and all additional features that you can have in the Mountain series. Regarding the hooks for ICU attachment, please see the photo below. There should be 2 orange webbings with plastic loop just behind the aluminum frame.
Cordial greetings friends of fstop I follow your client for years and I love your excellent quality, I want to tell you that I got the ICU dodged although I already have it in use due to the need but if I would like to make it clear that the ICU that came into my hands, it was the one invoked as I already made a trip with him and I have it in use I don't think I will make the return because I found the size that arrived by mistake useful anyway I would like to make this clarification for my next purchase thank you
Hi Carlos, Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear that a mistake has been made, we see a Small Pro Camera Insert in your order. Please contact us on live-chat or [email protected], we'd like to correct this.
I really loved using the bag on my most recent trip to Alaska. We had to fly on float planes to reach remote locations and the bag was perfect for carrying 3 lenses and 2 bodies. I had the Pro Large insert inside and still had some room for a rain jacket in the top.
I bought the Kashmir at the suggestion of Customer Support and a female F-Stop ambassador after the Ajna 40L didn't work for me. I currently use it to carry a Canon RP + 14-35mm lens, a Canon 7D MKII + 100-400mm lens, a 1.4x extender and a pair of 8x42 binoculars in a medium shallow ICU. I have mixed opinions on the bag. Pros: - The harness fits smaller frames very well and is comfortable with heavier than suggested loads - Pretty light for an aluminum-framed bag - The bag feels well made Cons: - Fabric is super noisy and crinkly in cold weather, which is a big downside for wildlife photography - Zippers not water-resistant and fabric waterproofing isn't great - Included rain cover is too big for the bag, resulting in pools of water collecting in the folds and leaking - Cheap webbing zipper pulls - Missing the organizer on the inner flap of back opening that the Ajna has - Can't fit XL ICUs for large telephoto lenses I understand some of my con list is a result of it being part of the Ultra-Light line. I would prefer the build quality and features from the Mountain line but this was the only bag available to fit my frame. I really wish F-Stop would do better in that regard. Overall, a nice bag but not ideal for how I primarily use my camera equipment. I think it'll be a good bag for longer hikes and travel when I only take my smaller camera and lenses.
Wish the shoulder strap was adjustable as on other f-stop packs and interchangeable with men’s straps. Also an interchangeable belt. Well made, good size, but no pack for old men.
I have been very happy with the Kashmir. I use it when I am traveling where size is the concern. I also use my Tilopa when I need more gear with me. I am very happy with both and love that the ICUs can be moved between bags depending on the needs of that outing.
Size, fit and weight are nice for a lighter weight pack when not carrying everything is necessary. With the medium slope ICU it's great for a workable kit with clothes for a short weekend or stuff for a long day in the mountains. With the pro large icu, there's little room for extra stuff, but you can carry a lot of gear. Straps and side mesh pockets are highly functional and useful. Downsides are the velcro loop at top of back panel zipper- I cut that right off as it impedes the zipper use, same for two loop tabs above main top compartment access zipper. Poor location for all three. I'd really like to see more robust zippers on this pack (like what is used on the regular Mtn line) as I have doubts about their longevity- I applied silicon grease to all since they were the failure point on my previous Loka UL. It's a shame the Kenti is no longer made, it would be great to have a pack in that size range for pro mountain bike photogs like myself (the Guru is too small and flimsy).
Looking for a new bag to replace my battered old Lowepro was hard, but I finally settled on this Kashmir. The interior is larger than my old bag (30l compared to 23l) so I was concerned that as a 5ft 2 female who has had spinal surgery I would struggle, but I needn't have worried. The bag is comfortable to wear, nice and light, with fully adjustable hip, chest and shoulder straps. The length of the bag fits my torso nicely too. I like that I can move the chest strap high enough, the little pockets on the waist belt are really handy for a spare battery, lens wipe, CF card and lipbalm. I can use the medium slope and the small pro ICU's to carry all my equipment, less or more, and I can fit a waterskin in the back too. Just be aware that this is in the same compartment as the ICU, and there is no waterproofing in case of leaks - I wrapped mine in a drysack first. I can attach my tripod to the bag with the side straps, though I would really recommend buying the gatekeeper straps too, as using the side straps made the bag a bit uneven for carrying, and the gatekeepers meant that I could attach it to the back. The only real criticism I have with this bag is the lack of small pockets. There is the pocket on top of the lid, and the two hip pockets, but none of them really feel right for multiple CF cards, batteries, just the bits and pieces. It would be really nice if the inside of the back flap had some small pockets similar to the Ajna, and a couple of other little zipped ones. There is a big pocket on this bag, but it's too big and stuff will get lost. Another help would be if F-stop brought out their own range of accessories using the MOLLE attachment points - I get the idea of wanting to keep this bag light, so being able to add my own pockets would help, but that would drive up the price considerably.
I packed my Canon 1dx, a 300mm lens, 40-70mm, and an extender into it, plus two jacket layers, hat/gloves, snacks, and other odds and ends to drag around Alaska for a week. My pack weight 25 lbs and I carried it around easily. I bought it because I am a slender-built female that's had two shoulder surgeries and a slipped disk. I had zero issues. It was awesome. Thanks!
